24th February 2025
It's hard to believe after the recent cold, miserable and dull days earlier this month that Spring will soon be here along with our 2025 season.

Dates for your diary
The club's AGM is on Wednesday 26th March at 7pm at the Greencourt pavilion, where plans for 2025 season and membership fees will be discussed.
(Please note: this date was incorrect in the recent newsletter.)
The AGM is open to all members. Agenda to follow.
If you have concerns or ideas about the club you wish to be addressed at the meeting please let me know by 12th March. Reminders about renewing membership will be sent out next month.
Bill Camplin has resigned from the committee after serving many years as Vice Chairman. Our thanks go to him. This leaves a vacancy for vice chair. We will be re-electing officers at the AGM.
We also have had to say farewell to Nicole Hobson our Welfare Office and Ladies 2nd team captain. We wish her all the best in her new life in Yorkshire and our appreciation and thanks for all the years she has been volunteering in her two roles. We welcome Imogen Nejranowski as our new Welfare Office and Jennie Palmer and Wendy Martin as our Ladies 2nd team joint captains.
Our social mixed doubles tournament will be continuing this year. Held on the first Tuesday of each month from 7pm. Open to all members all abilities. The aim is to meet up with others and have an enjoyable relaxed evening of tennis followed by light refreshments and chat in the clubroom. Partners are drawn on the day. Our next one is Tuesday 4th March at 7pm. A reminder will be sent each month.
Following on from a successful pre-season clean up of the pavilion and area around the courts last year we will be running another session on Saturday 26th April from 10am. Volunteers needed please. Plenty of tea and cake on offer as a bribe! More details nearer the time.
The next date for your calendar is Saturday 7th June. This will be the club's Big Saturday Tennis Event when there will be a day of free and fun tennis activities open to all, not just members. Certain membership discounts will be available on the day. Details nearer the time
The Saxmundham Sports Clubs are holding their AGM on Monday 14th April 7pm at the football club. Open to all. They are looking for a new chair person and secretary if anyone is interested. They are also working on updating the sports club's facilities.
