Hadleigh, Stowmarket, and Woodbridge: three-match roundup from our Men's 2nd team

Our team had no time for sightseeing, but St Mary's Church is only a three-minute walk from Hadleigh Tennis Club

Our first match of the season in the Ipswich and District Men's Winter League was on Wednesday 6th October, when we headed off to the distant courts of Hadleigh on a chilly night with late fog drifting across the courts.

Our team consisted of two pairings: myself and Ewan, and James and Andrew. Together we managed a handy 6-2 win! Well done chaps . Thanks also to Sue for the support!

Our next match was on Thursday 21st October, this time at home to Stowmarket, who’d put out a strong team which resulted in a close tussle but unluckily, a 5-3 loss for us. Thanks to our team member pairs Ian and Andrew, and James and Dominic, for playing.

Fortunately, we were back to our winning ways this week on Monday 1st November when we played the Woodbridge Men's 2nd team away. On a perfect night for tennis weather-wise, we came away with a perfect result, an 8-0 win for the team! This time our pairs were myself and Ian, and James and Dominic. A great result for the team.
